SMS Terms of Service

Last updated March 22, 2026

Summary: June sends operational SMS messages on behalf of trade service contractors to their customers and crew members. Messages cover dispatch alerts, job updates, and service notifications. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Standard message and data rates may apply. We never share your mobile opt-in data with third parties.

1. Overview

June, operated by Machen Hive, Inc., provides an AI-powered operations platform for trade service contractors (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, landscaping, and other trades). As part of our service, we send SMS and MMS messages on behalf of contractors to their customers and crew members.

By opting in to receive SMS messages from a contractor powered by June, you agree to the terms described below.

2. Who Sends Messages

Messages are sent by June on behalf of the licensed trade service contractor whose services you are receiving. Each contractor has a dedicated local phone number. The contractor is the business you have a service relationship with — June is the technology platform that powers the communication.

3. Message Types

You may receive the following types of messages:

For Customers

  • Job status updates (technician dispatched, en route, arrived, completed)
  • Technician ETA and live tracking links
  • Rate approval and authorization requests
  • Service completion summaries and work order links
  • Invoice and payment confirmation links
  • Appointment reminders and scheduling confirmations

For Technicians and Crew Members

  • Emergency dispatch alerts with job details and location
  • Accept/decline job notifications
  • Daily schedule notifications and crew assignments
  • Job brief with address, issue summary, and access instructions
  • Stand-down notifications when another technician accepts
  • Weather alerts affecting scheduled work

4. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on active service requests and your role. Customers typically receive 3–8 messages per service request. Technicians and crew members may receive more frequent messages during active dispatch periods. You will not receive messages unrelated to active service operations.

5. How You Opt In

You may opt in to receive messages through one of the following methods:

  • Verbal consent: By calling a contractor's emergency line handled by June and providing your phone number during the intake call. A recording disclosure is provided at the start of every call.
  • Web form: By entering your phone number on a rate approval page, job tracking page, or contractor's booking form powered by June.
  • Employer onboarding: Technicians and crew members are enrolled by their contractor employer during team setup, with explicit consent obtained during the onboarding process.
  • Text keyword: By texting START to a contractor's dedicated number.

Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchasing any service or employment.

6. Opt-In Confirmation

When you first opt in, you will receive a confirmation message similar to:

"You've opted in to receive messages from [Contractor Name] via June. Msg frequency varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel."

7. How to Opt Out

You can opt out of receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. You will receive a confirmation:

"You have been unsubscribed and will no longer receive messages. Reply START to re-subscribe."

Under FCC rules, you may also revoke consent by any reasonable means, not only the STOP keyword. If you contact us by email or phone to opt out, we will process your request promptly. You may re-subscribe at any time by texting START.

8. Help and Support

Reply HELP to any message for assistance. You will receive a response similar to:

"June dispatch service for [Contractor Name]. Contact support@tryjune.co or call +1 (619) 949-1863. Reply STOP to cancel."

You can also reach us directly at support@tryjune.co or by calling +1 (619) 949-1863.

9. Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply to messages you send and receive. June does not charge recipients for receiving messages, but your carrier may. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.

10. Privacy and Data Sharing

We take your privacy seriously. The following commitments apply to all SMS communications:

  • Mobile opt-in data and consent information is not shared with or sold to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
